VOLUSIA COUNTY MAN CLAIMS $259,445 FANTASY 5® TOP PRIZE TALLAHASSEE -- The Florida Lottery announced today that Rick Klingensmith, 45, of Deltona claimed the April 21 $259,445.20 FANTASY 5® top prize. His winning ticket was a free Quick Pick ticket he had won in a previous FANTASY 5 drawing for matching two numbers. He received his winning FANTASY 5 Quick Pick ticket from Publix, located at 2783 Elkcam Boulevard in Deltona. Total ticket sales for this top prize generated approximately $334,000 for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF). Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $21 billion to the EETF, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education.
